A step inside the Fairmont Quasar Istanbul Hotel is a step into a world where old meets new and is bound by elements unique to Turkey.

The 40-story hotel tells a story of two sisters representing the distinctively different but classic flavors of New York and Paris, the long-standing twin pillars of style.

Positioned within walking distance of Istanbul’s most important cultural landmarks – Taksim Square, the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque – as well as the financial district, Fairmont Quasar Istanbul offers an authentic experience of the city for leisure and business travelers. Access from Istanbul’s two airports is easy and efficient, while guests traveling on a tight schedule have access to a private helipad.

“The Fairmont Istanbul is a dream: inspired by a rich past that is strongly rooted in the present,” said Joanne Yong, Principal and Design Director of Wilson Associates. “The design weaves both heritage and stylish modernity; where the guest experience subliminally mirrors the ageless Turkish concept of journey and welcome.”

Envisioned as a portal between worlds, the lobby reception leaves a lasting impression. White marble floors at the entrance contrast against warm wood floors in the reception area. Oversized locally crafted lanterns accent the corner of the space and signify the entrance of the bridge connection to the Business Center.

The Spa’s overall light and white palette is diversified with textures and patterns, creating a fresh sense of place. By contrast the Spa Reception features dark molded paneling, intricate wood floors, and clean-lined metal details giving an industrial flare. Leading away from the reception space, sculptured walls of the corridor create a feeling of decompression and ease, while white Turkish patterned mosaics accent the corners and niches.
